Taylor Swift to release Eras Tour concert film and docuseries on Disney+
Pop superstar Taylor Swift has announced the upcoming release of a concert film and a six-part documentary series chronicling her record-breaking Eras Tour on Disney+. Both will premiere on December 12.
The concert film, titled "The Eras Tour | The Final Show," will showcase the full performance from Swift's last tour stop in Vancouver, including live renditions of songs from her album "The Tortured Poets Department." This deepens Disney+'s collaboration with Swift, leveraging her massive global fan base to attract new subscribers in a competitive streaming landscape.
The platform will also launch a six-part docuseries titled "The End of an Era," offering a behind-the-scenes look at what Swift describes as "the most important and intense chapter" of her career. The docuseries will be released in batches of two episodes on December 12, 19, and 26.
The Eras Tour, which kicked off in March 2023, spans Swift's two-decade catalog and has become the highest-grossing tour in history, surpassing $2 billion in ticket sales. The previous film version, "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour," released in cinemas last year, holds the record for the highest-grossing concert movie ever.
Swift, a 14-time Grammy winner—including a record four Album of the Year awards—continues to break records. Her latest album, "The Life of a Showgirl," achieved remarkable sales, becoming the highest-selling album in the modern era during its first week, according to Billboard and data from Luminate.
